Sun International at the Top of its Game According to SA’s Youth

Sun International was thrilled to receive 2 accolades for the coolest brands at this year’s Sunday Times Generation Next awards held at The Arena at Toyota in Fourways on Thursday 27 May 2010.

The Sunday Times Generation Next study revealed that Sun International is the coolest hotel group and Sun City is the coolest fun destination in South Africa. This is the fourth year in a row that Sun City has earned this distinction which solidifies its status as the Kingdom of Pleasure in the country.

‘Generation Next’ is the largest youth brand preference study ever conducted in South Africa. It allows marketers and their advertising agencies a chance to understand what attracts SA’s youth to certain brands. The youth (8-22 years) make up more than 50% of the entire population and it was estimated in 2009 that that their spend was close to R90-billion per annum.
