Nicole Flint, Miss South Africa 2009, was bid farewell as she heads off to compete in the Miss World pageant in China. The event was held at the Sun International head office in Sandton on Thursday 30 September. Nicole showed off a traditional dance which will be performed as part of the unjudged section of the pageant as well as the dress, designed by JJ Schoeman, which she will be wearing. A few of Miss South Africa’s sponsors; Avis, Cameroon and Jet Set Timepieces, came to wish Nicole the best of luck with her journey ahead.

Luxury Limousines then came to fetch Nicole and her family from Sun International to whisk her off to O. R. Tambo International for her flight to Beijing via Hong Kong. As the pageant will only take place on the 30 October, Nicole will spend just under a month travelling around China with all the other Miss World contestants, learning about the culture and taking in the magnificent sites.  The Miss World pageant will then take place in Sanya, China. When Nicole returns to South Africa, she will have just over a month left of her reign before crowning Miss South Africa 2010 at Sun City on the 12 December.
