From the Blog: My Sun City Experienceon March 2, 2011
Sun City has always been a great place for conferences and company get-togethers. Many years ago when I was working for one of South Africa’s Big 4 banks, our manager delighted us by announcing that we would be having our annual-team building at Sun City.
It was my first time there and I was awestruck from the first sighting. My brother, an adrenalin junkie, accompanied me. While I was involved in the company activities, he had a blast jet skiing and parasailing. With a wide array of activities lined up for us and amazing scenery in which to discuss work in, we ended up having the best team-building we’d ever had in the five years that I worked at the Bank.
Fast-forward a few years, and this time we were invited to Sun City by my husband’s company for the Pro-Am tournament. All the stops were pulled out to entertain and pamper us and while the golfers were in their element on Sun City and Lost City’s spectacular courses. The non-golfers had plenty to keep them occupied: Valley of the Waves, Kamp Kwena for the kids and the luxurious health spa to name a few. There was tons of good quality networking in a relaxed environment at the Country Club breakfasts, lunches and dinners. We were only sorry that it was over too soon.
Of course, the family holidays we’ve had there have been just as grand. Sun City is a one-stop destination and I’m game for a holiday or work there any time!
